The Monday Phenomena
Monday, March 27, 2006 9:41:17 pm

I intentionally got up 35 minutes earlier than normal today, only to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier to work... trains were running normally... yet I was moving slower... this just made me think that I should invent a drink and name it "Einstein's Relativity"... I wonder if anyone else thinks that is almost funny?

The Groove
Sunday, March 26, 2006 2:23:41 pm

Well, I had to throw together a PowerPoint presentation for my company yesterday (Saturday) and I had a little tune running through my head...

Feeling rather motivated, I recorded the tune this morning. It's not fully normalized, so you'll probably have to increase the volume to get it as loud as a normal song.

I agree with Kevin... Kevin T Driver...
Saturday, March 25, 2006 8:18:13 pm

Over at Kevin's blog, he wrote about the questionable state of Microsoft.

I agree with Kevin's points, which only touches the tip of the iceberg of issues that have been facing Microsoft for several years. Although, there's still quite a few smart folks over there, as somebody had the foresight to initiate an $11 billion stock buy-back over the course of 2006. What this means to the world is that Microsoft will be removing some of their shares from the market, stimulating demand by increasing scarcity. This tactic will absolutely help lessen the shock of any bad news, although I would be one to question the real motives for the buyback.

Two more gone
Saturday, March 25, 2006 4:30:47 pm

Two people left my company this week, bringing the 2006 total up to 4. This kind of thing really brings perspective to a small company.

Kyle Orton is BACK IN THE GAME!!!
Sunday, March 19, 2006 2:42:03 pm

Okay, not so much, but that's something funny that my friend's dad said a while back...

Anyhow, I managed to get the archived area up, although it's not themed yet. I figured that I took a long enough break.

New SNL Jeopardy
Thursday, June 9, 2005 7:30:45 am

I've got the new file thanks to a helpful person, Chris Lemon. In fact, I've even re-encoded it into DivX. I just haven't gotten it on the site yet. Don't worry, I'll make sure it happens in the next day or two.

I'm still basically unpacking boxes at my new apartment. I've noticed that I seem to have difficulty bringing closure to things like moving.

A round of upgrades
Saturday, April 23, 2005 11:44:34 pm

Did some upgrades...

Apache 2.0.54
PHP 5.0.4
mod_perl 2.0 RC5 ***
PostgreSQL 8.0.2

*** They changed the mod_perl API in this release, which resulted in about 20 minutes of downtime while I updated my modules and configuration to work with their changes.

Quite refreshing
Sunday, April 17, 2005 3:50:18 pm

Well, I decided to put up the new design. I still have to finish the archives and get the new counter up and running, but I think we can live a little while without those little pleasantries. I'll eventually start theming the entire site with this new theme, with the goal of having the whole site be nicely controlled via a template or two. Enjoy!

Notably absent
Wednesday, April 13, 2005 7:20:58 pm

Yes, I know, it happened again. I swear that I'll start working on the new site stuff again. I really want to get this done before I move to a new apartment in May. Yes, that's right, I'm moving... from Bucktown to Wrigleyville.

Upgrade, new design
Monday, March 14, 2005 9:47:03 pm

I've upgraded Bind to 9.3.1. Also, the links that I had to the new section design won't allow access for the next few days, since I've moved my coded pages there and restricted the access. Hopefully I'll have the coding done soon so that the main page will get the new design soon.
